About KL
The city itself has over 2 million residents (according to the 2022 census) with people from all over Asia and Europe making it their home. The Greater Kuala Lumpur area has over 7.5 million residents. Depending on which part of the city you opt to live in, traffic can be slow at peak times so make sure the school you select is within easy reach. Other cities in Asia such as Bangkok or Jakarta are considered worse but it is still something to take into consideration.
Popular areas for expats include Mont Kiara which is in easy reach of schools such as Mont’Kiara International School, Lycée Français Kuala Lumpur and Garden International School. Alternatively, Bangsar is popular with schools such as Sri Dasmesh or Havil International School.
The official language in Malaysia is Malay but there are many other languages spoken; Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi Tamil. For European expats, the good news is that English is widely spoken and major tourist areas will have English signage. For eating out, most restaurants will have English menus as well.

Qosmo International School is a new international school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia offering preschool, primary and secondary education to students. We focus on the holistic development of every child by focussing on the core aspects of confidence and knowledge. We understand that every child is unique and we ensure that their individuality is maintained and honed so that they grow up to be responsible world citizens.
Qosmo International School will assess each student and will not separate them based upon standardised performance. This is where our RISE and SOAR programmes come into play. We have mixed classes and do not stream based on test scores. Research shows that this is bad for student learning, even for the highest performers. Students will be empowered and independent and their parents will not have to worry about negative perceptions within the classroom.

Brighton International School (BIS) is dedicated to preparing young people for the rigors of both life and career. We recognize that the world is rapidly changing, and that young people today need to accept these challenges, and build suitable competencies while also attaining the kind of quality education that previous generations enjoyed. This is why we focus on both foundational literacy skills, the liberal arts and sciences, while also constantly looking for ways to give students experiences that will build twenty-first century skills.
We believe that twenty-first century skills such as interpersonal communication, problem solving, collaboration, information and media literacy, and leadership require us to emphasize core knowledge and capacity building in terms of literary, numeracy and critical thinking across all subjects and disciplines. However, students in our era need exposure to broader sociocultural issues so that they can situate knowledge, form perspectives and values, and understand themselves as powerful agents who can engage with the world in meaningful, realizable ways. Therefore, our Global Perspectives, Bright Leader Program, Social Clubs and Technology and Arts Centres offer resources and insights that students need.
The Cambridge Curriculum has, for many years, been a leader in international education. The modern curriculum attempts to bridge the past and future, and we believe that it provides a solid foundation upon which to build a program. BIS supplements the curriculum with many special programs and courses that are appropriate to local, regional and national expectations, and as a constantly developing school, we are dedicated to remaining open to new ideas and trends, while also adhering to sound pedagogical standards.

Dwi Emas International School is part of the ACE EdVenture group which has been perfecting its approach to 21st Century education over the past 22 years starting with our Founder, Anne Tham, and her sister, Melinda Lim, together with their award-winning team.
It began in 1995 when Anne, then a college lecturer, observed how students were so unprepared after 12 years of formal primary and secondary school education (it still happens). She set out to infuse elements she felt were needed to create a rich and engaging educational experience: gamification, simulation, presentation, and coursework to name a few. Fast forward to today, the ACE EdVenture Approach has impacted over 15,000 students and continues to grow confident and creative young individuals.
And now with Dwi Emas, our next big feat is nurturing future entrepreneurial leaders. Innovation is the name of the game for us. While ACE EdVenture has been around for over two decades, our methodology and delivery evolves with time to ensure that students are getting the best education possible.
