About Paris
France's capital city of Paris is world renowned for its abundance of art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. The city of Paris is relatively small, covering just over 100 square kilometres, with a population of just over 2 million. It is easy to get around on foot, by bike, scooter, rollerblades or on public transport, especially the Paris Metro. It is said that nothing is more than 500 metres from a metro station. There are over 400 parks and green spaces in Paris and plans for a suburban forest, five times the size of Central Park in New York City, to be situated to the north of the city in the area of Pierrelaye and Bessancourt.
As a rule, the French love children so they are welcomed in all but a few of the finest restaurants. Parisians are often, unfairly, considered rude or distant but, they are usually very friendly once they are greeted politely and they get to know you a little.
The convenient and central 7th arrondissement, by the Eiffel Tower, is one of the most exclusive and expensive areas to live in Paris and is home to The Lennen Bilingual School. Whilst it is full of museums and landmarks, this area still has plenty of parks and a village like atmosphere full of prized local shops and charming bistros. It is a very popular residential neighbourhood.
Across the Seine, the 16th arrondissement, Passy, has a thriving American community and is home to the Canadian Bilingual School, International School of Paris and Kingsworth International School. It is a quiet, laid back area with an abundance of charming restaurants and cafés, adjoining the huge park Bois de Boulogne. The housing is a mixture of 17th Century town houses and new, riverside apartment blocks.
To the north, the 17th arrondissement, Batignolles-Monceau, is convenient for Prunelle School Montessori Bilingual and Marymount International School to the north and Eurécole to the south. Accomodation tends to be larger and more child friendly and there are plenty of small parks, cinemas, restaurants and shops in the area.
A little to the west of the city and home to Open Sky International, is the area of Bolougne-Billancourt which recently came second in a survey by the newspaper Le Parisienne of the best places to live around Paris. It is only 15 minutes from the centre of Paris yet is much quieter and calmer with lots of parks and green spaces and larger properties.
A little further west is Saint-Cloud where you can find some more of the best schools in Paris - American School, German School and Ecole Montessori Bilingue de Saint-Cloud. Saint-Cloud is a popular area with expat families but it retains it’s French charm with a good selection of bakeries, cafes and small shops. In this area there are plenty of modern, spacious houses with gardens.

EURECOLE Paris is an international school. Forty nationalities are represented. It provides its students with the learning of three languages from their bilingual mother tongue (French-English) with the addition of an additional language: German or Spanish.
Our “English curriculum” accompanies the child from bilingual kindergarten to primary school where English is consolidated through an academic curriculum (grammar, conjugation, literature, civilization, language study) and another in which the child’s participation is encouraged around “English studies” (history, geography, English Litterature). In the latter, the student is led to create projects, presentations and work in teams in order to consolidate his or her communication in English so that it becomes natural.
Pupils from outside the school who arrive during the cycle are not overlooked because they are easily welcomed and integrated through the application of a differentiated pedagogy, language level groups and individualized follow-up, which are promoted by limited class sizes.

Description
La Tour Paris - Anglophone Section began with a single program, now called Etudes Anglophones, designed to provide a bilingual and bicultural education for students entering La Tour with a fluent level of spoken and written English. However, we soon realized how important it is to give ALL students the opportunity to perfect their English skills and introduce them to the many cultures of the English-speaking world.
Anglais Avancé, an honors program for top students in Anglais académique, was thus born, creating a second level adapted for non-bilingual level students. Soon after, the Step Programs for pre-primary and primary students were established to begin the learning process even earlier.
