How did Ischooladvisor come about?
Founded in December 2019, Ischooladvisor was born out of the lack of neutral and comprehensive information with which to compare schools and the need for such information to make such an important decision as choosing the educational centre, which marks the initial stages of young people’s lives.
The idea emerged just a few months earlier from the personal experience of one of the founding partners, Ignacio, when he faced the process of searching and comparing centres for his child and detected a significant lack of information to carry out this task.
The Ischooladvisor platform was opened to the public in February 2020 and today it has already established itself as the reference school search engine in the Spanish-speaking world.

Our team
The founding partners are Ignacio Vallejo-Nágera, Rubén Sarmiento, and Andoitz Jordán.
They have extensive experience in companies such as eBay, Accenture Strategy, Altran, and Hitachi Consulting, and have founded lifestyle startups like Urvan, or Marketing Analytics startups like Tractionboard and Jooicer.
They describe themselves as “data geeks”, through which they help families and schools by making their lives much easier.
Ignacio Vallejo-Nágera
Cofundador y Director Ejecutivo
Graduated in Business Administration and Management from CUNEF, with a master's degree in Strategy from INSEAD and a master's degree in Digital Business (DIBEX) from ISDI. He developed his career as a strategy consultant at Accenture, head of strategy and operations at StubHub (eBay), and founded and managed the home beauty services platform Urvan until its sale.
Rubén Sarmiento
Co-Fundador y CPO/CMO
Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering from Carlos III University of Madrid. Extensive experience in strategic consultancy (Hitachi) and Marketing (MyObserver). He has led Marketing Intelligence and Controllership teams at StubHub (eBay) and has been co-founder and product director at Tractionboard, a solution for measuring the return on investment of online Marketing campaigns.
Andoitz Jordán
Cofundador y Director de Tecnología
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and Information Systems from the University of Alcalá de Henares. CTO. Following his participation in multiple startups, he stands out for the successful launch of the Irish company Nutritics. He also has valuable experience as a consultant at Altran, a renowned aerospace and defence company, and as a programmer analyst at Telefónica.
