How would you rate Mont'Kiara International School (MKIS)?
We have been in the school for 4 years and we love the school very much, especially its strong community, administrators, and teachers that make my sons’ schooling experience great!
M'KIS is a second home for our daughter and she is so happy there that even when she is sick she cries because she doesn't want to miss the school! The administration really listens to children and parents, the security agents are real angels and even outside the school they watch over the children and the families until they cross the street. The teacher is literally a second mother for the children. My daughter has never learned as much as at M'KIS and I am so proud to hear her speak in English at home with the same perfect accent of her teacher and to see her playing with numbers! Miss Candace-Louise, a true professional who responded to my concern about my daughter's difficulties "your daughter deserves the best in life like every child". Miss Honey, my hero, with all her patience and perseverance, changed my daughter's life with quality learning and education. She teaches children values and sensitivity towards others! Many thanks to Miss Daley who reached out to us in a difficult time and changed our idea on education. Mr. Dan Miller instilling a passion for music in my daughter, he gave us a wonderful Valentine's Day gift. Magnificent songs performed by little ones! The canteen staff, they welcome us with great joy when we go there to have breakfast in the morning. Many thanks to all the staff who keep the school clean and welcoming with a big smile and a cordial hello. The principal who must work hard to achieve such a level of perfection even in the smallest details. One last thing, for those who live in KLCC I reassure sure you that the school is not far away, it takes us 25 minutes to arrive and 35 if there is traffic and it happened only twice since we go there.
Very high turnover of staff and lacks in academics. A lot of complaints in Middle School about the students receiving high marks, however the academic standard is not very high. Glassdoor and others seem to be receiving a lot of lower reviews in the last couple of years.
On the surface, MKIS looks to be a good school. However, many students in middle school say they learned very little. There is a high turnover where few teachers stay beyond 2 years.

Malaysia's premier American curriculum international school. Fully equipped school with dedicated staff and teachers. A true Tier-1 school by international standards, and one of Malaysia's prestigious schools alongside GIS, which offers the British curriculum.

Mont' Kiara International School is a relatively small, but very good school. The teachers at this school are almost always open to giving extra help whenever they can. It is a very challenging school for many students, but it is challenging in a good way. This is because students are faced with the ESLRs or expected school wide learning results that encourage them to go beyond their limitations. The curriculum is also designed to make the students excellent global citizens.
