About Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur
Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) was originally known as Kolej Methodist Sentul Campus. The Presidential Task Force set up by the Methodist Church in Malaysia in 1976, recommended that the character of Methodist Private Schools, which had provided a second chance for dropouts from the government system, be transformed, in order to provide quality education.
Implementing such a proposal entailed identifying persons of calibre and dedication. To accept the challenge, Mrs F. R. Bhupalan, a well known educationist, responded to the call, and, with the assistance of Mr J.B. Vanniasingham as Director of Studies and Mr David Gunaratnam as Deputy Principal, Methodist College Brickfields was established.
The College made its debut in January 1983 offering places for students from Form 1 to Form 5. Simultaneously GCE A-Level classes in Science and Arts were introduced. There were also the students of Methodist High School to be phased out. It was an arduous task coordinating three different types of curriculum under one roof with a mixed bag of teachers and limited resources. Its evolution into what it is today was a slow process.

School management is really poor, I've had 10+ of my teachers leaving the school, the school exams are way harder than IGSCE, school rules are too strict , many teachers do not have experience in teaching. Please improve...
My son goes to this school and his mental health + results got worse. It has only been 1 year after he moved to this school. He complains about his teachers and that they are giving too many homeworks. He has depression, stress and anxiety. I am considering him to either switch schools or be homeschooled. I hope the principal will do something about this. He has been hurting himself for the past few months and I don't know how to make him stop. I sent him to therapy and I am trying to make him happier. Sometimes I can hear him crying in his room. I am trying my best to help my son. He even got a scolding by his teacher just because he went to get water. My sons friend got his hair cut off just because it was over the eyebrows. They even cut it in the middle of the whole school to let the other students see. Please do not send your children to this horrible school. My friends daughter goes there too and she has been complaining about her being stressed out. She has a lot of mental breakdowns. She also added that "The school does not even let us leave our bangs down even though it isnt touching our eyebrows". The teachers here only care about their students results but not their mental health. Why? Please please do something about this or else this school is going to lose students. This school does not even know what is happening to our children.

This is a very strong in their results for many years. Teachers are very experience. Students here are generally very well behave and smart and this makes the study environment really good.

The IGCSE students from this school had recently did well comparing to other international schools. Parents are proud. Kudos to the teachers who nurture and develop the students' abilities.

Turns out I can't delete reviews so i will rewrite mine. year 10 as of 6th april. Oferall, wesley is a decent school. school life isn't too bad as long as you have good friends to rely on. I like my teachers (some to note are mdm Lai ai iou, ms anne, mr simon Chio, mdm grace, ms eunice—I think they control classes well and still manage to be decently approachable) and most teachers are fine, though some teaching styles don't work with all people, which isn't anyone's fault, but I wonder if it can be solved? (Also i have a teacher who doesn't seem to be passionate about teaching at all and seems to just carelessly give high marks to students

It's pretty interesting that quite a number of teachers, mostly relatively new, are leaving within short periods of time over the years. I've heard that up to 13 new teachers would be employed by the school this year due to this. It sure seems pretty odd for that many teachers to leave if the quality of the school, especially management wise is as splendid as I've heard back then.
