About Waldorf Sevilla Girasol International School

In 2012, three families from the city of Seville came together to create the Waldorf Sevilla Girasol Association. The objective was to promote the creation and development of the first Waldorf / Steiner school in the province of Seville.

This first step was fundamental, and after that, we have not stopped looking for the path to fulfilling our dream of offering the families a different type of education through a Waldorf School in Seville. One year later we launched a modest but powerful campaign to raise awareness and promote a genuinely respectful education for our children. In 2015, after the effort of ten families who economically supported the project, we obtained the authorization to open a private Waldorf Steiner pre-school center. We worked together to continue growing, and in September of 2017, we had inaugurated the first Elementary class, having this school year 2019/2020 year our Third class full of children. We have become a school with more than 50 families, of whom 30% come from different countries, six different nationalities and three continents.

Each step is being a collective effort of the whole community. We will continue working hard together to grow and complete all the levels in Primary in 2022/2023.
