There’s quite a bit of bullying and preferential treatment in this school. If you can afford slightly more, don’t fall for their marketing ‘manifesto’ and choose a different private school in PJ area. There’s no real focus on sports and performing arts either. Go for their concerts and you’ll see the same kids on stage every year.

The teachers are inexperienced and prefer that students don’t raise issues to them. If they do, they will be targeted. Also clear bias for students with parents who are teachers in the school. But I guess you get what you pay for. One of the more affordable private schools in Subang. And most of the students here are the ones who originally had Lik Hung or another SRJK C as they preferred school but didn’t get in. So you can imaging what it’s like.

There is a clear ‘cover your a**’ culture in this school. When a child is bullied or even hit by another child, the teacher’s response (and I have witnessed this multiple times with different children) is to either say ‘why did you provoke him?’ Or ‘you should not have stood in his way’ There are some teachers who are so timid and immature that you wonder how they can manage a room full of boisterous Generation Alphas. And then there are the teachers who prefer students to be silent and not speak up. They themselves do not understand 21st century skills let alone be able to harness that in students. SriKL has been an absolute disappointment in every sense. It has turned my confident child into someone who is questioning whther he should even ask a question. Or if he should report to the teacher if there is bullying occurring around him.

Terrible management and communication between parents and school. I paid for a private education for my child only for Sri Kuala Lumpur to prioritise their own image and reputation rather than striving to actually teach my children. There is a poor healthcare system and the standards of teaching are dirt poor. Teachers were unqualified and almost uncomfortable to be around with. I could name several instances of Tan Sun Seng, the most unqualified madman that rose to power as principle due to the pandemic, where he's deliberately covered up instances of his administration screwing up. The school won't tell you that they've been shut down by the Ministry of Health, had several police investigations into improper misconduct between staff and students, and had such a piss poor support system during the pandemic that it drove a child to end their own life. Facilities are old, run down, and the building is quite frankly inaccessible with terrible traffic. SS15 isn't exactly the safest place to let your child roam free after school with several cases of bag snatching while students walk out after school.

Sri KL helps you find what you enjoy and actually help you make something out of it. It’s worth it.

The worse school I've ever been to, the teacher's treat students like rubbish. They'll always force us to do something we don't want to. Wanna hear something extremely disappointing? Bribery. There's bribery in this school, some parents will pay the principal to get their own child good grades. There's a lot of bullying here, the teachers wouldn't even be bothered if the victim is bullied, but they'll blame it on them and say " why are you so weak " like isn't the teachers suppose to do something instead of sitting there in the corner watching the students getting punched, kicked etc. The guards around the school are just disgusting, caught a guard red-handed the last time it was around 2019. The guard stared at my friend's skirt and started to laugh with his friends. The secondary principal doesn't care at all, me and my friends had already reported this issue 14 times, and all the principal had to say was " Ok, I'll take action now get out of my office " . Really disappointing.

So, I will first review the primary school. There are decent space & enough facilities to cope with all the student which includes the canteen, playground, courtyard, library, pool, gym & etc. However, the pool water is always very cold. For teachers, strictly based on my experience, they are just ok. There are some good ones who actually teach you will incorporating it in a fun way but more of the older teachers have a considerably more traditional approach which I feel doesn't keep up with the "21th century learning needs". To clarify what I mean by traditional I meant it like the "asian way" where teachers don't teach student to inquire about the subject & just pay attention to get good grades. This is again, strictly based on personal experience. For music & arts, I give it a 4 since there are the tools & materials to properly study those subjects like after school band or during basic music (yr1-3) & recorder (yr4-6). I don't have much to say about about academics cause to me, there is anything that stands out in terms of the way students are being taught & since it is such a wide topic that I am unsure whether the review meant by how it has improved our academic scores or something else. Sport is good I guess? There is a pool, gym, basketball stadium, futsal field & a large hall that can accommodate the many sport related activities. In term of science facilities for primary, there is a lab but it is barely used in & there aren't many activities or experiments that students can carry out which is the reason why I gave it a poor instead of acceptable. Technology is good as there are enough computers & even smartboards in classrooms though not always used by teachers. Moving on to secondary school. Its harder to give a review since I am at my second year in secondary & it had been mostly online studying due to the MCO but offer what I have first. There are better facilities here which included a room for woodwork, a needlework room, a cookery & 3 science labs for each major (biology, physics & chemistry) which is a big improvement from the primary one. So far my teachers have been pretty good too. Well..most of them. For music & arts, it was a surprise when we had singing in music. Unfortunately we apparently didn't have "harmony" but you know what, idc about that. For Arts, we generally used a lot more of the sketch book so it doesn't really go to waste cause during primary we did more on art block & our sketchbooks were usually around 1/4 filled while now its about 2 to 3/4. I don't have anything to say for academic & in term of co-curriculum, it has a much larger variety thought it was confusing when I saw that cookery was only for year 10 girls. Sexist? idk. FYI for those deciding on bring your child to srikl, I am not trying to say bad things about my school but some of the curriculum mentioned on the school's website need to be paid & some I haven't seen in the list of option during my time at school when they allowed up to choose.

Reasonable price, good quality education. School compound is not very big. Maybe 5 or 6 acres? But it is well planned so there are many facilities. Swimming pool, gym, art rooms, dance studio, auditorium, music centre, science labs, library etc. Attended a few music and drama performance and was very impressed. Very excellent standard. BM at SPM is compulsory for all Malaysian students which is why I send my kids there. My kids find this hard but they need this to survive in Malaysia. Results at IGCSE are good. Sports standard is high. Lots of good swimmers and runners in the school so difficult to get on school team. But my kids run and swim for their houses. Teachers are strict but friendly from what I see at the report card meetings. Fees include food which is convenient. I don’t have to give my kids any pocket money during the week. They like most of the meals provided but not all. I like the school values. I would recommend this school.

Teachers are wonderful. Very well run, academically and extra curricular activities. Established non-academic programmes. Dedicated teachers and management. Oldest private school in Malaysia.
