Founded in 2006, the Western International School of Shanghai (WISS) is an authentic international school with an international curriculum, taught by international staff, for internationally-minded students representing over 50 nationalities, within a caring and inspirational environment, and on a beautiful, purposely built campus.
WISS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Dedicated to international education, WISS is the only full continuum IB World School in mainland China with all four programmes of the International Baccalaureate offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP). Our international curriculum derives from the best teaching practices from around the world.

How would you rate Western International School of Shanghai (WISS)?
I am a student at the school, and I think it’s pretty good.
WISS is an exceptional school. My immediate experience when visiting with my 1-year-old was that it is a school that places great emphasis on family, with a close-knit and welcoming community of parents and staff.
The best school ever, it’s so amazing and I am depressed now that I left because I miss it so much.

The school is actually fantastic! My daughter is in Primary, she loves there!! She loves school homework, the teachers follow up her work a lot. School provides diversity of activities too. She is going to attend Middle school soon, both my husband and I are very confident about her performance there.
