How would you rate Sunny Canadian International School?
Great facilities, trachers are super friendly and welcoming. Kids just love it there! English program can use a bit more structure but compared to other schools also great level.
I dont like that my kid speaks very poor English after 3 years at this school.
The 'International' description is aspirational rather than current reality. It's not anywhere up there with the established golden International School 'big boys' nor to be fair is it coming with those matching golden big fees. That said it's by no means a cheap option either and with regards to value for money it is on the borderline of acceptable but unfortunately declining as time goes on. Fees keep increasing yet more and more students are squeezed onto the campus with class sizes growing and an extra class added each year as it has changed from 2 classes opened per year to 3. This means a loss of communal (internal and external) and other spaces and inevitably attention to pupils & parents. This is a for profit school and sadly you will feel that profits here are ultimately king. The pros are that for the kids the vibe is pretty good, English is taught well and it has a nice atmosphere, happy children and there are some (not all!) excellent teachers who put their all into their job but also seem overworked therefore attrition is high.
Great place, easily accessible from Prague (10 min), friendly atmosphere, well-behaved children, strong and supportive management.
Poor curriculum, typical Czech school with a try of using English
This is not really an international school as advertised. It's mainly a state funded Czech school with a good English program. They have excellent facilities but the classes are quite large for a private school. I know some teachers and they are brilliant but the administration tend to ask for more and more money for very little give back to the students and teachers. For a better, more international education, I would suggest elsewhere.
Its just a school that useful for Czech native children who wants to learn english. All meetings and documents are in Czech language if you want to make your children learn english well from scratch you shouldn't select this school

Úžasná škola učí se tam angličtina děti v páté třídě jezdí do Londýna a domluví se tam úžasně jsem jedna ze studentek na této škole a jsem velmi spokojená učím se i třetí jazyk. Mohla jsem se rozhodnout mezi francouzštinou a němčinou rozhodla jsem se pro francouzštinu a dělám velké pokroky učitelky mají úžasný přístup k učení a moc jim za to děkuji!
