About Korea International School Pangyo (KIS)
At Korea International School Pangyo (KIS) our students apply what they learn - they transfer their knowledge and skills across subject areas as they work to solve real-world problems in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.
We believe a supportive environment is essential to learning as students grow and navigate campus relationships, teaching one another, and learning together. We think each school day is an opportunity for fun and challenge as students engage with curricular content and extracurricular activities. We recognize our students are whole individuals with their own interests, ideas and hopes, and so our mission is to encourage each student to be more who they are, helping to identify and develop their strengths.

How would you rate Korea International School Pangyo (KIS)?
It was okay. Not the best. But okay.
1. The school is very big. 2. There are many clubs and extra-curricular activities, which include Dungeons and Dragons, Bowling, Model United Nations etc. 3. The school is located on a hill, which allows students to go outside and explore. 4. There is a wide selection of electives for 7th and 8th grade, including Drama, Ceramics, Student Council, Computing and Programming, Robotics, Yearbook etc. 5. The one complaint that I have is that this school lacks discipline. The school claims to have detention, yet nobody ever gets it. One kid was supposed to be suspended for a week, but was unsuspended after less than a day. Some teachers have control over the students, and some can barely keep the class from talking every time they stop to take a breath.

Staff is insanely arrogant despite being under-qualified. The school lunch is extremely overpriced and the lunch ladies are unfriendly. You are essentially paying college level tuition for a US average level education.
