About Keio Academy of New York
Keio Academy of New York is a private, co-educational, independent secondary school which is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and registered by the New York State Education Department. Keio Academy of New York is also authorized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology in Japan as an overseas educational institution. It is the only overseas operation affiliated with Keio University.
In 1860, Yukichi Fukuzawa, the founder of Keio University, went aboard a ship called Kanrinmaru and visited the United States for the first time. He was only 25 years old. At that time in Japan, only a few people could go abroad. Fukuzawa took notes on what he saw, heard, and understood in the United States and Europe and published books after returning to Japan. He contributed to the modernization of Japan.
More than 160 years have passed since Fukuzawa’s first visit to the United States. Today it is much easier to travel from Japan to the United States if you take an airplane. Many people have visited a foreign country. It is a fantastic experience to live in a foreign country while young. Leaving the environment where you grew up and living without your parents might be difficult, but I am sure such an experience will enrich your life.
Since its foundation in 1990, Keio Academy of New York has hungrily acquired know-how for bicultural education. Our mission is to turn out youngbloods who understand both Japanese and American cultures and have Keio spirits.

This is my alma mater. It's a great school. The support for students who live away from their parents is generous, and the school spirit respects the students' intentions. The security is very solid.

As an aside, According to the story of an internal student, Hitomi Kuroki's daughter was stopped by the school and could not enter. Since then, the number of retired students at Keio New York Academy has temporarily increased, and the level seems to have risen significantly from this year's entrance examination.
