International School of Bucharest (ISB) is a non-profit day school providing a British style of education for children aged 2.5 years to 19 years in Bucharest, Romania’s capital city. Children in the Early Years, Primary and Secondary school (ages 2.5 to 14) follow the National Curriculum of England and Wales, which is adapted to meet the needs of our international student body. Students in Years 10 and 11 follow the Cambridge IGCSE programme. Years 12 and 13 are the final two years of our programme where students are prepared for International A-levels.
International School of Bucharest is authorised by the Romanian Ministry of Education. We have been registered by the University of Cambridge as a 'Cambridge International Centre' since 2001. Our school is accredited by the Council of International School (CIS) since August 2012. ISB became an associated member of COBIS in October 2013. Over 830 students from 40 different countries currently attend our school.
We are committed to excellence in education and the personal growth of every student. Our students learn in a multicultural community where each person is respected regardless of nationality, race, or religion. International School of Bucharest's goal is to provide the students with the best possible programme of academic and personal development in a challenging and supportive environment.

What this school offers is very costly instruction, not education. It is really quite disappointing, the reality does not match their rhetoric, the teachers, with very few exceptions, are plain, stiff and boring, the vast majority of students, especially the local ones, are just spoiled brats and a bad influence for those who come from different backgrounds. A very rigid "Eurasia meets the Balkans" kind of a school that only mimics the Western standards of education.
