About International European School Warsaw (IES)

The mission of the International European School (IES) Warsaw is to prepare its pupils to meet the challenges of the 21st Century as citizens of a united and democratic Europe and the world, who are aware of their rights and are open to all races and cultures.

The school aims to become an exemplary centre for teaching and learning, a school that sets and achieves world class standards in multilingual education. This is based on the school's Pastoral and Social Education programme, and on accreditation to international educational organisations. The school aims to provide each pupil with an excellent foundation for the further study of national programmes within the framework of the International Baccalaureate.

The moral values and code of ethics of the International European School in Warsaw are founded on the cultural roots of Christian Europe and universal humanistic values. Its actions are based on the National Constitution and international declarations, in particular the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The ethical code of conduct, which applies to the whole school community, is outlined in the School Statute. * The school building is located in a green suburb of Warsaw, in close proximity to the historic, baroque Wilanów palace.

The friendly and welcoming atmosphere is central to the school's Pastoral and Social Education Programme. There is no place at school for bullying, intolerance, violence, drugs or indifference to the problems of others.

Pupils are made aware of their rights, based on the school rules and on international declarations. Every pupil has the right to learn about their own religion at school.

I am a parent of two, not a good choice if you value on the quality of education (Lack of teachers and many first timers, many opt to leave the school after a year or less to go to other schools) Also bulling is an issue that is not addressed, affecting children mental health. The school is ignoring or avoiding getting involved and a lot has to do with cultural differences, empathy is a hard find. There is lack of communication with the school, no feedback, blunt decisions and no consideration for parents. Also, all events - fairs, concerts, donations, celebrations are on parents expense and efforts, the school taking all the credits.

I am a student in this school for other 8 years and its great. I knows not everything in it od Perfect for example i had a teacher who would come to a lesson and just sit there next to his laptop. But over all I learned a lot and i am happy with it.

Teachers left, and new ones got progressively worse. One teacher, of civics, teaching year 8 clearly does not know how to teach. Many complained, but they resulted with exaggerated behaviour marks. Teacher doesn't write lesson descriptions, and plays games in the middle of the class.

The facility is good, but there are too many kids. The school administration started charging more for education and cheaping out on everything. Some teachers level is horrible.

I used to teach at that school and was lucky to work with a brilliant IB coordinator who tried to alleviate all the deficiencies of the school related to poor management and the low professional level of most of the teachers. Unfortunately, he left in 2022 and was replaced by a very mediocre person who had no idea about the IB program. She used her position to get rid of teachers she thought didn't fit in with the school, including me due to my nationality. I would advise against sending your child to this school. There are plenty of better private schools in Warsaw.

Worst school that I've ever seen. Bullying is flourishing. Principal and vice-principal are protecting the bullies. Looks like they are bribed by the parents of these bullies. If you value your child's mental health, avoid this "school"
