The Goethe-Schule, which is located at a distance of approximately 20 km north of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, in a peaceful, almost idyllic neighborhood (La Horqueta). It is a school that has the certification of " Excellent German School Abroad”(DAS) awarded by the Federal Republic of Germany and belonging to a network of more than 140 German schools abroad that are funded by the German State to promote language learning worldwide and promote German culture and their way of life outside of Germany. It is a school of encounter: in an open, lively and stimulating environment, students from very diverse cultures and backgrounds participate together in classes and in special activities that reinforce their intercultural competence. Our school is attended by children and young people from more than 20 nations, all united by a common interest: learning, working and living in and with the German language and culture.
The Goethe-Schule welcomes in its facilities Kindergarten, Primary (1st to 6th grade) and secondary (1st to 6th year) to more than 1,500 children and young people between 2 and 18 years. We teach both students whose mother tongue is German as well as students whose mother tongue is Spanish, teaching classes in three languages: German, Spanish and -from 4th grade of Primary- in English.
Excellent school that I was lucky enough to be able to enjoy as a student (class 1994 and Abitur 1995). Beyond the German and English languages, it has given me a lot in terms of culture, values, openness to the world and opportunities.
The Goethe Schule is a school where cultures meet where we all feel welcome.
Thank you to all the teachers, administrators and staff for so many efforts made during the pandemic so that students could continue learning !!! ❤️❤️❤️
The handling in the pandemic was disastrous. 30 minutes of zoom per day, hopefully. With a fee of 38,000 pesos, they give you a discount for covid, but as soon as they raised the ASPO they began to send a document and interest letter, the discount was nothing. We are supposed to be a cooperative society. And on top of that the teachers here were discounted and those who come from Germany charge in euros and on top of that they teach from Germany, because they came back. That's not fair
