The amount they charge for tuition is downright ridiculous, especially considering what you get in return. Life here? Yeah, it's like trying to survive in a jungle with no survival kit. The drama among the teachers is like something out of a soap opera. Who needs that kind of negativity in their life? They're so obsessed with sticking to their old-school ways that they're practically allergic to anything remotely progressive. Creativity? Forget about it. They'd rather crush your spirit than let you think outside the box. Steer clear of elc. Save your sanity and your wallet. There are plenty of other schools out there that won't leave you feeling like you're trapped in a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and find one that actually gives a damn about your education and your well-being.

My daughter attended ELC International School for two years during lower secondary. The excessive focus on academic assessment, including written tests, exams, and various forms of evaluation, consumed an overwhelming amount of time and energy. Nearly every week, students were bombarded with assessments from different subject teachers. This constant barrage often left my daughter struggling to complete her numerous projects and written assignments. Initially, I believed the issue lay with my daughter needing to exert more effort to keep pace or perhaps adjusting to the system. However, upon speaking with numerous other parents during parent-teacher meetings (PTMs), I realized my concerns were shared widely. It appears to be the norm at ELC for students to face an excessive amount of tests, assessments, and projects, making it nearly impossible for them to meet deadlines. Despite attempts by my daughter and some of her classmates to address these concerns with the teachers and coordinator, they were met with reprimand and dismissal of the issue. Consequently, many students, including my daughter, left ELC due to the intense pressure and overwhelming academic workload. Fortunately, there are several other international schools in the Klang Valley that offer a more balanced academic environment. This outdated approach to education is unsustainable, and I cannot in good conscience recommend ELC to other parents. The experience has been deeply distressing for my daughter and countless others.

The school has fixed a quota for admission specifically for Indian nationalities, which shows either they do not want too many Indian nationals in their school or they clearly don't want any Indian national in the name of fixed quota. It's a shame when school make reservations based on nationalities!

this school is absolutely horrible. the principal is stupid and the teachers are dumb except for like, three of them. they're not very good at their job in terms of supporting the students emotionally and they aren't very understanding. i do not recommend going to this school at ALL. the facilities are horrible and the school only cares about your mental health till you're struggling with your studies, after that you're labelled as "lazy". i wasted a decade in this school and i'm really happy i'll be leaving soon. elc has the nerve to publish articles about how they go beyond learning in the classroom when the most they do is a few field trips here and there. elc is also way too traditional for a school that's run in 2020s, they need to get with the times, we've been using the same pcs ever since i was in year one and that's stupid because most international schools have advanced past this yet elc is still stuck in the 1990s. this school is an absolute joke of an academic instituition and a huge waste of money.

The facilities are very poor and they like to portray there students as criminals and would rather just put the blame on one student for multiple things that have gone missing rather than go through an extensive investigation to really understand what has happened. Many of the teachers there were honestly amazing, but I believe that this school does not believe in progressive learning and would much rather stick to traditional ways of teaching which held many teachers back. This was a major factor leading up to the large amount of young and amazing teachers leaving. Many of the higher Ranking teachers believe they are a far more superior than both parents and junior teachers of the school which I find absolutely disgraceful and believe that this school is not fit for students of this generation. All this comes from what I saw and experienced in elc while attending this joke of an education institute

Not a good place to work. Management will squeeze as much as they can from you. Watch out, teachers.

While the education in this school is excellent they are not respectful of religious beliefs. My nephew who is a Sikh was asked to remove his beard although it is religiously accepted globally. This leaves me with a very poor opinion of this school and what kind of values would be taught and respected. They are arrogant in their approach.
