How would you rate Shenzhen American International School?
They have less than 100 students after 16 years of operation. My children hated it. Most teachers are not American. No library or IT room.
I am a student who attended this school, the majority of the good and qualified teachers are being fired or are quitting (high turnover rate) while the unqualified ones are being kept there out of bias. Although Mr Abbott (although unfortunetly leaving next year) is a good principal, the CEO of the school and a few of the others in charge who unfortunetly have undeserved power are stupid and don't know how to run a school properly and only care about money. During my school year, I basically wasted my time and barely learned anything, I was only able to actually learn in 3 out of 7 classes. Although there are a few students who are smart and academically successful, there are a lot others who are failures who cause major disturbances in class (ex: making innapropriate comments, being extremely disrespectful to teachers) and only stay here because other schools won't accept them (CEO of the school knows that they're wealthy so he keeps them there). Although the students are often average and nice (Haven't heard of any bullying cases either). There is so much more wrong with the school but that is the basic overview of their problems.
