The positive reviews are very accurate and apply to Infant and Junior school. However, most of the critical reviews of this institution on Google are spot on, particularly in Senior school. The undercurrent of racism can be felt and bullying is a daily occurrence. Particularly if the bully is a child of staff (in this case, a senior member of staff at the Senior school) then the so-called sanctions imposed on him are a joke since he knows he gets away with it and continues to terrorize other students. Most senior students (in lower senior years) are discouraged to report bullying precisely because nothing gets done if the bully is a child of staff. To say this is unfair is an understatement. I am sure the school does not wish to be seen to be (and garner a reputation of) showing favoritism. Transparency and accountability are paramount since dissent is growing among the student (and parent) groups.

I do not believe that TTS is any better or worse than any other UK state school. It should be a lot better at $45,000 a year but the fact that it is in Singapore with a pupil-base of largely white-collar 2-parent families helps and the fact that it was established in 1925 gives it some old world romanticism but as a Tanglin Parent of 24 years, it is a school that should do a lot better than it does. TTS failed two of my children - one was not allowed into the 6th form as they didn't believe she would get the grades (she went to a British fee paying school and came out with A, B, C) and my son was encouraged to apply for Oxford by TTS which he did. His predicted grades were A*A*A and Oxford offered AAA but when it came right down to the wire - right where it mattered. In a year (2020) where nobody took an exam......Tanglin Trust School thought it would be a good idea to award ABB for no good or sensible reason at all. They have spent the months since defending their position and hiding behind a process acknowledged by the British Schools Minister, to have been flawed. Instead of making up for their shortcomings. Really not a good look and I would not recommend any parent trusting their children's A-Levels to people like this.

From Meeraan Siddiqui, Joined in 2014 as a year 5. Been 3-4 years already and was sadly there for 4 months. A blessing to be at the school and would highly recommend it. Fun sports like cricket, explorations like going to cities overnight, a school with a diverse body and heartwarming teachers. Amazing students to be friends with and interesting learning experience. If my old teacher Mr. Edward Hassall is seeing this review, I said hi!
