Hangzhou International School (HIS) is a not-for-profit, inclusive IB World School in Hangzhou, China, authorized for the full IB continuum: the Primary Years Programme (EY-5), the Middle Years Programme (grades 6-10) and the Diploma Programme (grades 11-12). Learning at HIS is inquiry- and concept-based, with a 1:1 MacBook laptop program from grade 5 and campus-wide wireless access. HIS has been recognized by Newsweek as one of the top IB schools in Asia and by Forbes as the top international school in Hangzhou, and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Students compete in regional sports leagues (ACAMIS, HISAC, SISAC, CISSA, SCISAC, SSL) and take part in activities such as the West Lake Model United Nations conference and theatre productions.
