How would you rate German School Seoul International (GSSI)?
The experience can be very different from parent to parent: if your family is entirely German the experience maybe more positive because the German community protects you. But if the family is mixed, there are many complaints because the school, although naming itself international, is biased towards protecting German people. The competence and performance of the teachers varies enormously, there is simply no standard. There are few good teachers but the majority has not even achieved mediocrity! The director does not do anything to improve academics or any other matter. Complaints from parents are routinely ignored. Bullying is not taken seriously. The facilities are very poor... the school is small but it could make an effort to make a priority excellence in teaching, music, arts, science or technology but again the director does not even have an idea of what excellence means! Quite ironic because the school has recently been awarded an excellence qualification but the inspection to asses that was a hoax!
German school is like a family for children. They have smal clases usually less than 15 children and have the opportunity to interact with other grades in different after classes activities like sports (taekwondo, table tennis, basketball, etc),choir, band, robotic, etc..therefore you can have friends all over the school. Teachers are welcoming and helpful.
