About EtonHouse International School
EtonHouse International School - Suzhou is a small school with a big heart. With class sizes of between 10-20 students, only one class per age group and a student to teacher ratio of 6:1, at EtonHouse your child will be much more than a number. Every student can make a difference, no matter how gifted or otherwise.
As part of the EtonHouse International Education Group, with more than 100 schools throughout Asia, EtonHouse International School - Suzhou is able to offer a choice of two outstanding educational pathways.
IB DIVISION. We are a well established IB World Continuum school for students from 6-18 years old. The PYP was accredited in 2008, MYP in 20011 and DP in 2016.
MIDDLETON DIVISION. In August 2021 the Middleton International Division was introduced. Middleton offers a fully international curriculum (IPC through to iGCSE and A-levels) for fees that are less than half the Suzhou average. Please note that for 2021/2022 only Years 1 & 2 are available (5-6 years old on August 31st 2021). This will expand year on year.
Our Early Years programme for children from 2-5 years old is inspired by Reggio Emilia, and focuses on inquiry-based learning, where children's ideas, interests and theories form the core of your child’s experiences.
This curriculum blends seamlessly into both PYP and Middleton.
We are an inclusive school that welcomes students of all abilities. EtonHouse believes that every student can succeed, any student who wishes to pursue the IB Diploma Programme is allowed and encouraged to do so.
Our student population is extremely multicultural. Despite being a small school, we have students from 22 nations and no nationality represents more than 24% of the population. This encourages mixing between different nationalities.
Despite the small scale, EtonHouse International School - Suzhou has all the facilities that you would expect from a much larger school, with heated swimming pool, all weather sports field, gymnasium, well stocked library and auditorium. The campus is a thoughtfully considered and aesthetically designed learning environment. This learning environment provides students a multitude of opportunities for exploration and provocations that support the rich inquiry-based learning programme offered at the campus.

How would you rate EtonHouse International School?
The school received my teenage son with open arms and kind hearts. He is developing beautifully, thriving and is happy. It's indeed a small school with a big heart.
My children have attended this school for several years. I think it is the best school in Suzhou for child development. School has wide choice of IB diploma subjects. IB diploma is very important if you want your children to go study in Europe (don't know about value of IB diploma in other places). Their sport facilities are great. It is little away from the centre of Suzhou if you look at the map, but elevated roads avoiding traffic lights make it fast to get there from anywhere in Suzhou.
Eton House Suzhou calls itself the small school with a big heart, and that’s definitely true in our experience. Our kids have been at the school since 2017, the eldest now entering his final year of PYP, and the little one having been through all of EY and now entering PYP. The teachers at the school have been consistently warm and encouraging, and in the EY section particularly they have done a great job instilling self assurance and encouraging empathy, while equipping the children with fundamental skills. The PYP section has also been a very supportive environment, giving lots of opportunities to discover interests and develop all kinds of skills, including opportunities for teamwork and leadership - especially through the house system. Overall, the school has an excellent sense of community. The school leadership is strongly independent and maintains the international character of the school, but is also sensitive to the local context, and the parents’ voice is heard and properly attended to. The school is strong academically and in sports, with the small size also meaning more opportunities to get involved in sport at school level. Above all, our children are happy there, and feel part of a real community.
