About Brasilia International School (BIS)
Brasilia International School (BIS) is a private school established to primarily serve the international community in Brasilia. The goal of BIS is to provide a high-quality U.S. style education based on a Biblical worldview. Students from all countries, cultures, and religions are treated with respect and fairness, including the Federal Republic of Brazil, its leaders, and the people. The programs at BIS are directed toward individual enrichment in the following areas: Intellectual, Social, Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Development.
BIS believes that each student is a unique creation of infinite worth. Each student is encouraged to pursue academic excellence. The school recognizes that student abilities and learning styles differ from one individual to the next. These differences are taken into consideration in the educational process. By providing a low student-teacher ratio, BIS helps each student achieve his/her full potential. Students are encouraged to make wise choices as they interact with their peers and their teachers within the school community. As students learn to behave responsibly at school, they gain necessary life skills to become successful, contributing leaders who will positively impact the world.
Brasilia International School is a member of the global school system known as the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS). BIS is one of eighteen NICS schools in fifteen different countries.
Like all schools that are members of NICS, BIS is a non-denominational organization that provides a high quality North-American style of education in English. The curriculum provides an excellent foundation for continued studies in other international schools and post-secondary studies in the United States, Canada, England and other countries that follow a similar academic structure.
BIS offers educational opportunities without regard to ethnic or national origin, race, color, religion, sex, creed, age, or disability.

I have never worked in a more loving and caring environment. BIS has been a blessing to my family and to myself. I work at BIS since 2015 and can't imagine myself working at a different place! Principals and leaders truly care for their employees, not only professionally, but also spiritually. BIS values teachers, staff and students.

I love working at BIS. I have been working there for 8 years and it feels like home. I feel appreciated and valued by all the administration. Not only that, but I chose this school to be my kids' school. All of my 3 kids go to BIS and they love it. They feel safe and happy in that environment. They also learn through the best practices. I appreciate (as a mom and co-worker) all the trachers who invest on my children lives. Specially the Special Edication department as I have a special child. We as parents are heard and my son's best interest is always thought of. The best international school for sure.
