How would you rate American International School of Jeddah (AISJ)?
My experience with AISJ has been incredibly disappointing and troubling. For several months, my son endured bullying without any effective intervention from the school administration. Initially, both the superintendent and principal ignored the situation, and later resorted to dishonesty and falsified evidence in an attempt to blame my son. Thankfully, I was able to incontrovertibly prove their deception, which ultimately led to their departure at the end of the year. Unfortunately, this incident reflects a broader failure of the school in both disciplinary and educational matters. Throughout the year, I encountered numerous other parents facing similar issues. Bullying seems pervasive and unchecked within the school community, which is deeply concerning. Additionally, my son's fourth-grade teacher, an American man, was consistently absent, lacking enthusiasm, and unprofessional. His departure after just one year further underscored his inadequacies. Moving my son away from AISJ was a difficult decision, but necessary for his emotional and academic well-being. Regrettably, it resulted in a lost year with significant consequences. If you prioritize your child's well-being and academic success, I advise considering other options than AISJ.
The teachers and administrators lack of respect and knowledge, supposed to be named Lebanese school
I am a student of this school and am very offended because of the students here. No matter the horrible things they do there are no repercussions. You could be mugged and nothing would happen to them because the school is afraid of losing their cash cows.
BIG NO NO TO THIS SCHOOL. DON'T GO WITH THE NAME. THEIR NAME SHOULD BE LEBANESE LOCAL SCHOOL. Read the reasons below; 1-Class Teacher's extremely poor management skills and lack of quality experience and relevant education, even we found landscape Architect having AutoCad / photoshop skills lady as EL school teacher. 2-Teacher, Principal and Assistant principal's rude and offensive behavior towards the child / parent, and not considering the parent's point of view. 3-Exploiting behavior of Principal and Assistant Principal by asking for additional cost of external behavioral consultancy unnecessarily for a normal child 4-Lack of diverse qualified and well experienced teaching staff. 5-Principal and Assistant Principal's involvement in hiring a specific nationality staff which relax them in doing conspiracies and wrongdoings. 6-Setting up the MS and SS level of expectations from the ES child immediately after joining the school. 7-Regular harassing calls, emails, letters and warnings by Principal and Assistant Principal to the child and parents on daily basis which has demotivated the child to come to school and considering school as a dangerous place where teacher, Principal and Assistant Principal beats and scolds him. In short, you are playing with the future of your kid as they do mental and physical torture to the kids and then the whole school management complaint to their parents by making false stories every other day. If you love your child, do not send in this school. Note: All good reviews which you are seeing here are paid reviews or by their own staff. Big money Scam going on here in this school. Be aware!!!!
Overall poorly organized with little stress on academics. Too many SPED students and no resources. Poor value for money.
