Educational principles
Pembridge Hall takes a holistic, child-centred approach in the belief that happy girls thrive. Strong pastoral care helps pupils build self-esteem, resilience and a lifelong love of learning, alongside ambitious academic standards and a strong sense of community. The school is non-selective.
School values
Pembridge Hall sets out six expectations for its pupils. Be individual: girls aim for their personal best while developing their own character, and are urged towards confidence and articulacy while holding on to a sense of humility. Be kind: pupils learn to work together, using emotional intelligence and practical strategies to support themselves and each other. Be curious: intellectual curiosity, question-asking and a love of learning are cultivated through a breadth of experience. Be aspirational: mistakes are treated as useful, pupils are pushed beyond their comfort zone, and families are supported in aiming high for senior school. Be resilient: girls reflect on their learning, manage their own wellbeing, take risks and build a growth mindset. Be responsible: pupils develop an appreciation of the range of nationalities, faiths, beliefs and languages in the school community, and a sense of duty towards others expressed through charitable work and outreach.

At Prep level the core curriculum widens so that pupils can also explore Spanish and Latin. Outside lessons, girls from Year 1 onwards may join language-focused clubs, including French and Mandarin, and the school presents this early immersion as the foundation for continuing language study in Middle and Upper School.
