GCS provides a broad and balanced curriculum for all children, with particular attention to students with English as an additional language (EAL), students working below or well above expected levels, students with a diagnosed or imputed disability, and gifted and talented students. GCS admits students irrespective of gender, race, disability or special educational needs, provided the school can meet the child's needs without unduly prejudicing the education and welfare of other students. The Head of Inclusion coordinates screening and assessment for students with additional learning needs, and the school amends and enhances its programme with appropriate strategies to support progress and achievement.

GEMS Cambridge International Private School - Sharjah (GCS) follows the National Curriculum for England from FS1 (Pre-KG, from age 3) to Year 13, serving families from Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman. The Foundation Stage uses the EYFS, primary and secondary follow the English Key Stages, students prepare for IGCSE from Year 10, and the Sixth Form offers modular International A Levels (IAL), with students taking two to four subjects.
