QSI International School of Dushanbe is a non-profit, English-language international school in the capital of Tajikistan and a member of Quality Schools International (QSI), a network of international schools founded in 1971. Since summer 2022 it has operated from a purpose-built campus on Turakul Zehni Street: two four-storey buildings with around 30 classrooms, science labs, art and music rooms, a theatre, a sports hall, a cafeteria and a swimming pool, designed for up to 350 students. The school serves children aged three to 18, from a preschool for three- and four-year-olds through elementary and middle school to a four-year secondary programme. Its website reports more than 190 students from over 30 nationalities. Teaching follows the QSI mastery-learning approach, in which students work at their instructional level and receive the time and support needed to master each unit, together with the seven QSI Success Orientations and the EMPOWER social-emotional and child-protection curriculum. The school describes itself as an American international school with an American-style curriculum; secondary students can take Advanced Placement courses and some classes online through QSI Virtual School. QSI Dushanbe has been accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) since 2016, and its teams compete in the regional CAFA federation.

Information about the educational stages of the QSI International School of Dushanbe
Students are placed by age as of 31 October. The preschool serves three- and four-year-olds with play-based learning in English. Elementary covers the 5- to 11-year-old classes with literacy, mathematics, science and cultural studies plus art, music, PE and technology. Middle school is a two-year programme for 12- and 13-year-olds. The secondary school (Secondary I-IV, ages 14-18) prepares students for university and offers AP courses.

English is the language of instruction from preschool onward, and core elementary subjects are taught by native English-speaking teachers. Children who still need to build their English join the Intensive English programme for ages 6 to 13, which uses smaller classes and a structured-literacy curriculum. Students already proficient in English take daily world-language lessons in French, German or Russian, which continue through middle and secondary school. Tajik classes are offered after school for Tajik citizens.

QSI Dushanbe offers an American-style, college-preparatory curriculum that leads to the QSI General, Academic or Academic Diploma with Honors. Secondary II-IV students who meet the prerequisites can enrol in Advanced Placement courses, taught on campus (AP Biology was added in person) or online through QVS, QSI's virtual school, and the campus is an AP testing centre. Two AP courses are required for the honors diploma. Students also receive SAT preparation support, and NWEA MAP testing tracks progress from age five.

Elementary students choose activities run by staff and outside providers twice a week, and swimming lessons are available after school for a fee. Middle and secondary students follow a seasonal programme aligned with CAFA and QSI tournaments: cross country, basketball, volleyball, soccer and track and field, plus Model United Nations, Knowledge Bowl, MathCounts, chess and drama. Drama productions span all ages, and other clubs have included Fuse Dance and finger knitting. The Student Council and the National English Honor Society run year-long, and teachers hold afternoon study sessions.

Families can use an optional bus service with air-conditioned buses, seat belts and an adult monitor, including a late bus after activities. Lunch can be brought from home or ordered from an external caterer. A qualified health professional is on site, staff receive first-aid training and the school monitors air quality. The campus opened in 2022 and consists of two four-storey buildings with about 30 classrooms and capacity for some 350 students. Specialist spaces include an elementary art room, a music room with instruments, chemistry and biology laboratories, a growing library of more than 11,000 books and computer labs. For sport and the arts there is a sports hall used for PE and events, a small theatre for performances, an outdoor playground and a swimming pool. A cafeteria seats over 100 people.
