Founded in 1889, Institut auf dem Rosenberg is an international boarding school in St. Gallen, Switzerland, for students typically aged 6 to 18. It brings together students of around 50 nationalities, taught in very small classes of about eight, with one member of staff for every two students. Its proprietary Rosenberg International Curriculum runs without interruption from the early years to the end of high school and prepares students for a wide range of external qualifications, from IGCSEs and A Levels to Advanced Placement courses and the International Baccalaureate.

Information about the educational stages of the Institut auf dem Rosenberg

Rather than locking students into a single track, Rosenberg combines its own international curriculum with several examination routes: IGCSE and GCSE, A Levels, Advanced Placement, the IB Diploma and the German International Baccalaureate (GIB), as well as SAT, IELTS and CEFR language certificates. Learning is organised around ability rather than strict age groups, and students frequently sit external qualifications early. Each learner's path is planned and tracked through an Individual Development Plan (IDP) supervised by academic mentors.
