Geneva English School began in 1961, when a handful of parents keen on a British-style education for their children hired a teacher and rented a church hall. Since 1989 its primary school has occupied the 'Petit Malagny' parkland estate in Genthod, looking across Lake Geneva to Mont Blanc, and in 2017 it opened a secondary campus in Versoix, a few minutes away. Today it educates pupils of more than 60 nationalities from Pre-school to Year 13 and is regularly inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
