Educational principles

Sant Agustí offers a specialised primary education that blends a very strong language programme with the framework and milestones of the British curriculum. In Early Years the curriculum is planned around observation of children's needs, interests and stages of development across the seven areas of learning, with an emphasis on play-based activities that are adult-led, adult-initiated and child-initiated. The school understands that every child is unique and designs its approach to support not only academic growth but also social and emotional development, with reduced group sizes and low teacher-to-child ratios. Parents are involved at every stage and are regularly updated on their child's progress. Through its purposeful curriculum and environment the school aims to help children grow into confident, capable and kind students, prepared for secondary education and lifelong learning.

School values

The school places the values of Excellence, Respect, Responsibility, Integrity and Compassion at the heart of school life, and states that these values guide its teaching, relationships and decision-making so that every child is supported to grow academically, socially and emotionally. Its principal describes a community that prides itself on those five key values, formed by dedicated educators, supportive parents and talented, eager young learners. Sant Agustí describes itself as a caring and inclusive community in which teachers and parents work together to lay strong foundations for a love of learning. We have been at the school since 2017 and it is outstanding. The principal Miss Miller is the best principle we've ever experienced. She's thoughtful and is constantly making changes on behalf of the parents to make the school truly a part of their community. The teachers are also incredibly dedicated and fantastic. Apparently the school is owned by a large corporation and although they don't pay their teachers or staff very well you would never know it by the way the teachers and staff are so dedicated to the students and Families.
