International English School of Castellon is a British school in Castello de la Plana, part of Dukes Education, teaching students from 1 to 18 years old with native English-speaking staff. It combines the English National Curriculum with the compulsory subjects of the Spanish curriculum, so that students graduate with both British and Spanish qualifications: the Spanish ESO certificate in Year 11 and the Spanish Bachillerato certificate in Year 13. The school is accredited by the British educational authorities through NABSS inspection and fully recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Its stages are Early Years (1-5, from Baby Bears to Reception), Primary (5-11), Secondary (11-16) and Sixth Form (16-18, A Levels). There is no entrance examination; the school assesses English, mathematics and general aptitude only to guide its approach once a student has joined. The school day runs from 9:00 to 16:30.

Information about languages of the International English School of Castellón
English is the main language of the school and all subjects are taught by highly qualified native teachers in a full immersion environment. Spanish is introduced from the first year of Early Years (Baby Bears) and, in Primary and Secondary, specific subjects required by the Spanish curriculum such as Spanish language and Spanish culture are taught in Spanish. In line with the education regulations of the Valencian Community, Valencian is part of the syllabus from Year 2 to Year 11, and students may continue studying it in Years 12 and 13 to obtain official certification. From Year 3 students are exposed to both French and German, and in Year 4 they choose to continue with one of the two.
