Singapore American School (SAS) is a non-profit, co-educational day school founded in 1956 by a group of American parents, before Singapore became independent. It has grown through four campuses and today occupies a 36-acre site in Woodlands, in the north of the island, which includes a two-acre patch of rainforest. SAS teaches children from Preschool (age 3) to Grade 12 and describes its mission as offering every student an exemplary American education with an international perspective. The school is accredited by WASC and registered in Singapore as a private education institution (PEI). Its programme is organised in an Early Learning Center (Preschool and Pre-K), an Elementary School (K-5), a Middle School (6-8) and a High School (9-12). Distinctive features include a Chinese immersion track from preschool to Grade 5, more than 40 advanced courses in high school (over 20 AP courses, the AP Capstone Diploma and school-designed Advanced Topics courses), the Catalyst and Quest project programmes and a week-long Interim Semester of trips each year. Students can join more than 300 clubs, service groups and after-school activities, and high school teams compete in IASAS. Facilities include four pools, one of them 50 metres long, several theatres and large libraries.

I disagree with the bad reviews about the space. I am currently a student at SAS and I really enjoy the school and the workings. I am quite interested into what we learn everyday and the teachers are quite helpful. If you took SAS from a students perspective, maybe the review would change. The open spaces are also able to close up, they only rarely do combined classes. SAS has a healthy learning environment that all students enjoy. The teachers and faculty are ever so kind. Thank you.

Gotta say after going to this school for 9 years before moving to dubai, probably one of the best schools in the world. Teachers are friendly and always helpful, students are nice and there are lots of groups to join so don't worry about that. Tution fees are a bit high but it's worth it when you finally graduate.

I am currently enrolled at Singapore American School as a Freshmen(9th Grade) in High School and have been at the school for about 8 years now. So, I have a pretty good view of what going to the school is like. Overall SAS offers a world class education with amazing teachers who give you help when you need it. Plus, the school has amazing facilities that will blow your mind. As well as a massive campus. Therefore there is a lot to like about this school. However, there is also a little bit to dislike, for example the school food. Now, I am not sayin...

Im a student, And if Im being honest, Its the best place ON EARTH!! Im a 6th grader, and this is my first year as a middle schooler. The teachers are kind, and supportive, and they try so hard. I know people say its expensive, but the outcome is really worth the price! SAS doesn't just educate you, they teach you values, like respect, responsibility, honesty, fairness, and compassion. It's my 2nd home, and I love it. My friends are amazing, and so are all the students there. But, if based on this review you're sending your child to SAS, Please, don...
