Founded in 1934, Colégio Júlio Dinis (CJD International School) is one of the oldest private schools in Portugal. Located in the city of Porto, it runs two parallel streams: a Portuguese national school covering nursery, pre-school, basic and secondary education, and an international school following the Cambridge curriculum. CJD International School runs from nursery (berçário) through to upper secondary education. The Portuguese national stream covers creche, pré-escolar, ensino básico and ensino secundário, the latter offering three tracks: Sciences and Technology, Languages and Humanities, and Socio-Economic Sciences, with additional teaching time and preparation for the Portuguese national university entrance examinations. The international stream follows Cambridge Primary (from age 5), Cambridge Lower Secondary (from 11), Cambridge Upper Secondary (from 14) and Cambridge Advanced (from 16).

Beyond the classroom, CJD offers an artistic strand (drama, creative dance, choir, music academy, art and discovery workshop), a technology strand (robotics, The Inventors, Technology in Action) and a sports strand (rugby, volleyball, football, basketball, swimming, chess and martial arts), together with rhythmic gymnastics and padel through CJD Sports. Themed study rooms run in the afternoons with subject clubs in Portuguese, Mathematics, Experimental Sciences, Social and Human Sciences and Visual Arts, and the school takes part in eTwinning, Erasmus+ and Eco-Escolas projects. Summer camps are organised each year.
