Founded in 1964, Colégio Paulo VI is a private school in Gondomar, in the Porto district of Portugal, which now belongs to the Ariston Education group. It offers a continuous route through the Portuguese national curriculum, from its nursery (Creche) and pre-school to the first, second and third cycles of basic education and on to upper secondary education. Its motto, 'Saber, Fazer e Ser' (Know, Do and Be), summarises an approach that combines academic rigour with the personal development of every student, supported by active, differentiated teaching. Beyond the formal curriculum the school runs a broad set of pedagogical projects and extracurricular academies in music, dance, gymnastics, futsal, volleyball, karate, skating, chess, choir, swimming, theatre and tag rugby, together with the optional American Dual Diploma programme.
