Lahore American School (LAS) is an independent, non-profit, coeducational day school on Canal Bank Road in the Upper Mall area of Lahore, Pakistan. It was founded in 1956 by a group of parents to give families of the US Embassy an American-style education and moved to its present site in 1966; a board elected by members of the Lahore American Society governs it. LAS teaches a US-based college-preparatory programme from Preschool (age three) to Grade 12 for students of all nationalities, and its 2026 school profile reports about 380 students, 65 teachers and 17 teaching assistants, with more than 65% of teachers holding a master's degree and a student-teacher ratio of about 6:1. Its curriculum draws on AERO frameworks and the Common Core State Standards, and the high school offers an extensive Advanced Placement programme that includes AP Capstone, first introduced in Pakistan by LAS in 2023. In 1984 LAS became the first school in Pakistan accredited by the Middle States Association, whose most recent reaccreditation runs to January 2029, and it holds the MSA Responsible AI in Learning endorsement. It is a member of CIS, NESA, AAIE and AISH and competes in SAISA and SAISA West. Counselling, a psychologist, EAL support based on WIDA and a fee-based learning support programme help students with different needs.

LAS is organised into Elementary (Preschool to Grade 5) and Secondary (Grades 6 to 12) divisions. Early Childhood covers Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten with a play-based, interest-led programme. In the Elementary School there are after-school activities and clubs, music performances, Pakistani Culture Day, field trips and the Tamasha arts festival. Secondary students take part in student government, Model United Nations, Week Without Walls, the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, NESA mathematics competitions, art, drama, music, theatre and service learning. As a SAISA member, LAS sends varsity teams to regional tournaments in swimming, soccer, badminton, cricket and basketball, and middle school students compete in the SAISA West league with Islamabad and Karachi.

The campus has occupied its Canal Bank site since 1966 and has grown from a former private home into a four-and-a-half-acre school with modern classrooms and technology. A purpose-built performing arts auditorium hosts assemblies and student performances, and a recently renovated library holds a large English-language collection with online databases.
