ACG Remuera Early Learning School is a private early childhood centre in Remuera, one of Auckland's central eastern suburbs, run by ACG Schools as part of the Inspired international education group. It previously traded as Remuera Discovery Express Childcare Centre and has been operating for more than ten years. The centre welcomes children from three months to five years in age-based rooms: the Kowhai room for infants under two, the Kiwi room for junior preschoolers from two to three and a half, and the Tui room for senior preschoolers preparing for school. Its inquiry and play-based programme is built on Te Whāriki, the national early childhood curriculum, and gives older children a school readiness course with a phonics-based approach to early literacy alongside numeracy and social skills. Qualified teachers lead each room with support from teachers in training and aides. Distinctive features for a centre of this size include an indoor gymnasium and an outdoor soccer turf, plus enrichment classes such as dance, yoga, Mandarin, Playball, baking and baby sensory sessions. Meals are prepared on site by a chef following a Heart Foundation healthy menu, children with special dietary or learning needs are included, and the centre opens from 7:30am to 6pm on weekdays, including the period between Christmas and New Year.
