The International School Wassenaar is part of Rijnlands Lyceum Wassenaar (RLW). Established in 1936, RLW prepares students for university and higher vocational education. Nestled in a picturesque setting in the heart of leafy Wassenaar, within touching distance of The Hague and Leiden, RLW delivers a first class secondary education through high standards and excellence in teaching. Our school of 800 students is small enough to ensure that each child is well-known and appreciated for who they are in a warm, safe and supportive environment. Our size allows us to get to know each child’s unique background and personality including their individual goals.

Het Rijnlands is a good medium-sized HAVO/VWO school with good facilities, in a beautiful school building and in a nice environment in Wassenaar. The atmosphere at school is very pleasant, students interact nicely with each other, bullying does not occur, and there is a very enthusiastic team of teachers and a generally good organization. There are many extra activities, such as an art class, open stage, sports, Olympiad, MUN. There are also options to take additional subjects or obtain language certificates.
