Information about the curricular adaptation of the European School The Hague
Support at ESH follows the Dutch Passend Onderwijs model: every pupil receives basic support, and those who need more get extra help with learning or social-emotional development from teachers and specialist staff, working with SPPOH and Kracht. Secondary students can receive language support in English, French, German or Dutch (first or second language), one-to-one or in small groups, and a short period of intensive language teaching when they are far below their year group; maths support helps them review and prepare lessons. An inclusive Gifted and Talented programme runs in both primary and secondary, identifying pupils for enhanced provision through a mix of test data and teacher observation.

The Primary school has five language sections: Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish, the last of which is being phased out by 2028-29. Pupils without a language section of their own (SWALS) are placed in one of the vehicular language sections, English, German or French, or in the host country section, Dutch. On top of that, ESH offers mother tongue tuition in Italian, Greek, Slovenian, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Czech and Finnish. Pupils take most subjects in their own language section, and some lessons are deliberately organised in mixed language groups: Physical Education, Music, Art and European Hours in Primary, and the 'Friendship Zone' in the Early Years.

After School Activities are run on campus by external tutors and instructors, with a programme covering sports and fitness, creative arts, music, dance and performance, and technology, tailored to the children's ages and interests. The school's stated aim is to let pupils try activities not offered during school hours, discover new talents and, when they find one they want to pursue, move on to local Dutch clubs or teams. The activities also bring together pupils from different language sections.

Information about the dining hall of the European School The Hague
Pupils can have freshly prepared hot meals in the school canteen, run by the catering company Jouw School Kantine, which cooks with fresh ingredients delivered daily. Every meal comes with a dessert and seasonal fresh fruit, and the canteen caters for special dietary requests and allergies. Menus change monthly and take the European National Days into account. Families register for one to five days a week and are invoiced per term; absent days are not charged.

Door-to-door transport at the start and end of the day is arranged with the community taxi company Achttax. A catering partner serves freshly prepared warm lunches with dessert and fruit and can cater for special diets and allergies. After-school care is provided by Basker International at a location next to the primary campus. Secondary students have a careers guidance team made up of a counsellor and six advisers for the most popular university destinations, and can spend part of S5 on exchange at another European School.

ESH Primary, on Houtrustweg, has a children's kitchen and science room, two libraries holding over 30,000 books, audio books and magazines in more than fifteen European languages, two sports halls and a 'speel lokaal', an extensive grass playing field, an artificial turf football field, a children's basketball and volleyball court, an outdoor mini amphitheatre, a separate Early Years playground, an outdoor learning area, an ICT suite, a music room, an art room and a large atrium that becomes the canteen at lunchtime. There is also a parent cafe. ESH Secondary occupies the former Aloysius College on Oostduinlaan, a municipal monument that the school renovated in 2018, adding science and ICT labs, a Learning and Innovation Hub, sports facilities, a library, a theatre, art and music rooms and new kitchen and canteen facilities.
