The Lycée Français Vincent van Gogh follows the AEFE's inclusive-school approach and the Qualinclus quality process. Four formal plans can be put in place depending on each child's needs: a PAI for health needs, a PAP for learning difficulties, a PPRE personalised success programme and a PPS for pupils with a disability. A monthly meeting with the school nurse and the school psychologist reviews pupils who need particular attention.

The Amsterdam site is the nursery and primary school of the Lycée Français Vincent van Gogh, attached to the lycée in 1989 and located on Rustenburgerstraat in De Pijp, next to Sarphatipark. It has eight classes, one for each level from petite section to CM2, and follows the French national curriculum within the AEFE network. Older pupils continue at the collège and lycée in The Hague.

Information about languages of the Lycée Francais Vincent Van Gogh

Teaching is in French and follows the official programmes of the French Ministry of Education. From the first year of nursery (PS) to CE1, pupils have four weekly sessions of a first foreign language, chosen between English and Dutch and kept until the end of primary school; from CE2, a second language is added with one weekly session. Pupils in CE2, CM1 and CM2 can also apply to the American International Section, a selective option with limited places.

Amazing school! They give children all the support that they need. Our kids used to avoid working in school but since they joined this school they found joy in learning - thanks to the dedication of the teachers (since they have had multiple ones and they continue excelling & they are proud of their achievements. Moving our kids to Vincent van Gogh was the best decision that we could have made.
