The International School Laren (ISL) is a young school in The Netherlands, located in a beautiful environment in 't Gooi, close to Hilversum. ISL is part of Alberdingk Thijm Scholen. Located in the centre of The Netherlands, it is within easy access to most major cities in the country and to Schiphol Airport. Many multinational companies decide to locate their head offices here and as such, Hilversum area has a diverse cultural population. The train station is a 20 minute bike ride away. The bus stops outside the school and there is easy motorway access. Student Life @ International School Laren The ISL focuses on the modern, sometimes transient, student whose needs are varied. Students should want to access a community that welcomes them, breeds respect and warmth, and encourages them to be self-disciplined. We place emphasis on the student thinking globally and acting locally. The ISL has been established within the grounds of Laar & Berg.
