Lincoln School is a not-for-profit, independent, mixed day school in Rabi Bhawan, Kathmandu, opened in 1954. It teaches a United States college-preparatory programme from preschool and pre-kindergarten up to grade twelve, leading to an American high school diploma, and its pupils and teachers come from more than thirty countries. Accreditation is held with the Middle States Association (MSA-CESS). High-school pupils may take a wide choice of Advanced Placement subjects, enough to gain the AP International Diploma, alongside a three-semester Theory of Knowledge sequence and a compulsory Senior Project; ESOL and learning-support provision is also available. The purpose-built campus counts thirty-five classrooms across three buildings, a theatre, a gym, a three-storey library and media centre finished in 2015, a heated twenty-five-metre pool, and outdoor and rooftop sports areas. A bus and van fleet fitted with two-way radios and GPS carries roughly eighty-five per cent of pupils, and a catering service, a school nurse and an after-school programme of more than ninety activities round out school life.
