Lycée Français Sophie Germain is a private French school with an international vocation in the Hay Riad district of Rabat. Accredited (homologué) by the French Ministry of Education and part of the AEFE network, it belongs to the IEG group of schools in Morocco and the Netherlands, which is part of Globeducate. It teaches the French national curriculum to pupils from two to eighteen, from the maternelle to Terminale, and prepares them for the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French baccalauréat, with the international French baccalaureate (BFI) available in bilingual French-Arabic or French-English versions and in a trilingual version. Pupils follow either a classic track in French with English and Arabic lessons or a French-English bilingual section, launched from Moyenne Section, in which the curriculum is taught in both languages by teachers recruited internationally; the school says it is the only one in Rabat offering this model. It describes itself as a school on a human scale, with a swimming pool, gymnasium, amphitheatre, art and music spaces, a library and a FabLab. The school reports a 100% pass rate in the 2023-24 general baccalauréat, with 91% of candidates obtaining a distinction.

French is the language of instruction. From the maternelle every pupil learns English and Arabic, which the school calls a genuinely trilingual education, and families may choose a bilingual section where the whole French curriculum is taught in French and English. Spanish is studied in the lycée, and the BFI can be taken in French-Arabic, French-English or trilingual form. Students without prior Arabic or Spanish can continue via the CNED distance courses.

The Hay Riad campus is compact but well equipped: a swimming pool, a gymnasium, an amphitheatre used as a theatre, dedicated art and music spaces and a FabLab with 3D printers, laser cutters, podcast equipment and robots for secondary students.
