QSI International School of Malta (QSIM) is a non-profit, co-educational international day school in Mosta, in the centre of Malta, near Ta' Qali. It opened in August 2007 and belongs to Quality Schools International (QSI), a non-profit network of college-preparatory schools whose headquarters are also in Malta. Teaching is in English, and the school takes children from the 3-year-old preschool class through Secondary IV, the equivalent of US Grade 12. The school reports more than 250 students from over 40 nationalities, and classes are small: roughly 10 to 20 pupils in preschool and elementary, with a lead teacher and an assistant in every class up to age 8. QSIM follows an American-style college-preparatory curriculum built on QSI's mastery learning model, in which students move on once they have mastered each unit at an A or B level. Secondary students can take Advanced Placement courses and graduate with a QSI General, Academic or Academic Honors diploma. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) since 2015 and is affiliated with the US Department of State Office of Overseas Schools. Character education through the QSI Success Orientations, free Intensive English for younger learners, and a certified Green Flag eco-school programme are distinctive features of school life.
