The American International School of Kingston (AISK) is an independent, co-educational day school in Kingston, Jamaica, offering an American-style education from preschool to Grade 12. It opened in September 1994 with 27 students, founded by a group of five women led by Alida Vessey, and in 2009 moved to its permanent, purpose-built campus on College Green, a 9-acre site at the foot of the Blue Mountains. AISK serves Jamaican and international families: in 2026-27 it enrolled about 325 students, with around 38 countries represented, and its staff of some 65 educators come from Jamaica, the United States and several other countries. Classes are capped at around 18 students. High school students can earn a US high school diploma, take individual International Baccalaureate courses, or complete the full IB Diploma Programme alongside the US diploma. The school is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED), authorised by the IB for the Diploma Programme and is a member of the Tri-Association and AMISA; it is also a College Board testing centre for the SAT and PSAT. AISK runs a 1:1 digital device programme, a STEM programme, a social-emotional learning curriculum and travel through its Classrooms Without Walls programme, and the school year runs in two semesters from August to June.

AISK has four divisions serving ages 3 to 18. The Early Years Program and Kindergarten focus on personal, cognitive, language and creative development. The Elementary School covers Grades 1 to 5 with specialist teachers for music, art, drama, Spanish, PE and library. Middle School runs from Grade 6 to Grade 8 with a STEM-based, project-led approach, and the Premium High School Program covers Grades 9 to 12, leading to the US diploma and IB options.

English is the language of instruction, and the school charges a separate fee for English as an Additional Language support for students who need it. Spanish is taught as a foreign language in the elementary years, and in middle and high school the modern languages department offers a choice between Spanish and French; two credits of a modern language are required for graduation and a modern language is part of the IB Diploma. An after-school club also introduces Jamaican Sign Language.

In Grades 11 and 12 its Premium High School Program lets students replace between one and six subjects with IB courses and earn IB certificates, or follow the full IB Diploma Programme, with six subjects, the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and CAS, alongside the US diploma. Honours mathematics classes are offered in Grades 9 and 10, and the school is an official College Board testing centre.

Elementary options include soccer, swimming, tennis, basketball, badminton, table tennis, taekwondo, fencing, yoga, track and field, dance, drama, piano, chess, coding, cooking, origami and robotics, while older students can join the student council, honour societies, Model United Nations, band and chess. Varsity sports include football, tennis, swimming and dance, and the school hosts SoccerFeva, a regional six-a-side tournament. A resident dance school offers ballet and modern dance.

A Student Support Team provides learning support and EAL help, charged as additional fees where applicable. College counsellors guide students through a four-year plan, individual meetings, essay workshops and financial aid sessions. The Founders Scholarship is offered to students aged 15 to 18. Lunch is available from the school canteen, and students wear school and PE uniforms. Transport to and from school is not included. Parents are members of the Parent Teacher Organization, which runs community and fundraising events.

Sports facilities include the Desmond Blades Aquatic Center with a swimming pool, tennis courts, a VersaCourt multi-sport court with basketball hoops, a soccer field and an elementary playground. Classrooms are equipped for a 1:1 device programme, and there are spaces for the visual and performing arts, music and a library.
