CHIREC International School's Serilingampally campus is the newest and largest site of CHIREC, a private co-educational day school in Hyderabad whose roots go back to 1989 and which now belongs to the Cognita schools group. Built on about 9.5 acres in one of the city's busiest business districts, it is home to the school's international section and takes children from Nursery, at around three years old, up to Grade 12. Pre-primary pupils follow an integrated early-years programme; from Grade 1 to Grade 10 teaching follows the Cambridge curriculum, ending with IGCSE exams; and in Grades 11 and 12 students take the IB Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Programme, for which the campus is authorised as an IB World School. The campus is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), and EducationWorld named it School of the Year in the international day school category. Two academic blocks sit beside an elevated sports deck of 120,000 sq ft and extensive outdoor pitches. Wellbeing is supported by a social and emotional learning curriculum, and a dedicated counselling team guides students towards universities in India, the USA, the UK and beyond. Across its four Hyderabad campuses CHIREC reports more than 6,500 students.
