TIPS Globeducate Chennai - Ambattur, also known as the Chennai North campus, is an international school for boys and girls in the SIDCO Industrial Estate area of Ambattur, in the north-west of Chennai. Despite the word 'Public' in its name, it is part of the private TIPS network of The Indian Public School, founded in 2008 and owned by the Globeducate group, which also runs a second Chennai campus in Perungudi. The Ambattur campus serves children from a Kindercare programme for toddlers (from about 18 months) and Pre-KG through to Grade 12, and offers both day places and a residential boarding option. Its curriculum follows an international pathway: early years and primary programmes based on the IB frameworks, the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, Cambridge IGCSE, and, for senior students, the IB Diploma Programme, which the school says it has offered since 2019. The campus covers around two acres with modern classrooms, laboratories, art and music spaces and sports facilities. Students take part in performing arts, sports coached by professionals, robotics, a space science programme, leadership camps and community outreach. An inclusive programme supports learners with autism, ADHD and learning difficulties, and English is the main language of teaching.
