Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong (WASHK) is a co-educational British international day school founded in 2019 as a sister school of Wycombe Abbey, the UK boarding school established in 1896, and a member of the Wycombe Abbey International family of schools. This listing covers its Prep School campus in Tin Wan, Aberdeen, on the south side of Hong Kong Island, which teaches pupils from Year 1 to Year 8 (roughly ages 5 to 13). Teaching follows the National Curriculum for England, adapted to the Hong Kong context and geared towards the British Common Entrance standard, so many leavers move on to UK boarding schools such as Wycombe Abbey, Eton College or Cheltenham Ladies' College, while others continue locally. English is the language of instruction, and Mandarin receives a weekly allocation comparable to the core subjects. A compulsory iSTEAM course combining technology, robotics, coding, science, engineering, art and mathematics is part of the timetable from Year 1, alongside entrepreneurship and leadership programmes; Years 7 and 8 act as the senior pupils of the prep school, with prefect and mentoring roles. Classes average 15 to 20 pupils (capped at 24) and each has a teacher plus a full-time teaching assistant. Since August 2025 the school also runs a Senior School campus in Kowloon City (Years 9 to 13, IGCSE and A-Levels), and prep pupils normally progress there from Year 8. WASHK is a day school with no boarding.

My children are now in the second year at Wycombe Abbey. The campus is in Tin Wan. The school is very new and a very cosy one. The teachers are full of energy and they know my children well. There is so much attention for each child. Academic wise, it is strong (Two students were given offer to Wycombe Abbey UK this year.) The Chinese language subject is not a side dish like other international schools; in fact, the teaching time for Chinese is similar to English language. I like the most is the Headmaster, I know my children are in good hands under...
