Die Grundschule mag besser sein als öffentliche Grundschulen, hält aber lange nicht das, was sie verspricht. Keine Schulbücher (!!), nur lose Blätter; Fehlverhalten (auch Mobbing!), unerledigte Aufgaben und nicht gemachte Hausaufgaben haben keine Konsequenzen (was schlimm ist, denn genau das kann man später nicht mehr beibringen/nachholen!); keine Sporthalle, was regelmäßig lange Busfahrten bedeutet; Bilingualität gut, aber Kinder werden im englischen Sprachgebrauch nicht korrigiert und "Basics" fehlen; gemeinsames Wissen wird wenig gelehrt, Kinder ...

Sadly the school change the head of primary school and it hast been the worst it could happend. Hostile policy against parents, no solutions to the student's problems, lack of social skills from the new head master, rotation of teachers, no sport Halle neither chorus or school band, the school psicologist doesn't even speak german. From 1 to 3 rd class it was good. Year 4 and 5 a total failure. I trully hope they change the Directorin again soon. Extra info to consider: a Refugee center is going to be build in less than 100mt from the school bac...

Since I have been attending this school myself for 9 years, I can say that the performance of the teachers is generally good, but it is declining more and more. Unfortunately, I also have to say that the subjects that are taught in English are becoming fewer and fewer. Nevertheless, bullying or racism is not represented.

My children have been at this school for years and we can only report good things: very committed teachers, perfect organization of the school day, nice extracurricular activities, great rooms and modern facilities, delicious breakfast/lunch and snacks. The support is optimal and the agreements between the teachers are great. The after-school teachers are very committed and loving. As a mother, I always feel very well informed about my children's performance levels; there are no surprises on report card day. We thought for a long time whether we sh... My children have been at this school for years and we can only report good things: very committed teachers, perfect organization of the school day, nice extracurricular activities, great rooms and modern facilities, delicious breakfast/lunch and snacks. The support is optimal and the agreements between the teachers are great. The after-school teachers are very committed and loving. As a mother, I always feel very well informed about my children's performance levels; there are no surprises on report card day. We thought for a long time whether we should transfer here from a public school. The main reason was that I was worried that my children wouldn't be able to keep up with their schoolmates materially: I'm a single parent and earn a normal salary. We live in a small rental apartment and drive a 19-year-old Golf. I didn't want my children to feel excluded. We then took the plunge and were pleasantly surprised. The mix at the school is like any other school in the district: the parents include taxi drivers, business people, celebrities, saleswomen, job seekers, artists, doctors, saleswomen, etc. My children have never had the experience that other children felt like they were "something better" just because they grew up in a house on the Wannsee or that a vacation in a luxury resort was standard. A good example is a child's birthday party. Of course there are parents who invite the birthday guests to a day at Tropical Island including a chartered bus and shopping for all guests in the gift shop. We celebrate more modestly, for example with a scavenger hunt in the park and pizza at the cheap Italian restaurant. We never experienced guests turning up their noses. Quite the opposite. So another commenter's experience describing a playground incident is a mystery to me. That must be the absolute exception, I have never met a child like that in 9 years at school. However, I have heard from other parents that the school's private sports field is often used by residents and their children, even if you have to climb over locked gates with your child. When parents who observe this point out that it is private property and that the parents finance the school, people get upset that these parents are arrogant just because their children attend a private school. Finally, I can only say that we are very satisfied with both the educational offerings and the social community and are glad that we moved here.
