International School 33 (IS33) is a private, non-denominational international school in Gradignan, near Bordeaux in France's Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It is the first IB World School in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and is authorised for the full International Baccalaureate continuum, offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme from nursery (age 2.5) through the end of upper secondary. Its distinctive approach combines the IB framework with the Montessori method and full French-English bilingual immersion: pupils study every subject in both languages and teachers deliver lessons in their mother tongue. All students are prepared for the internationally recognised Cambridge English Qualifications, and additional language options include Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
