After careful consideration, I decided to withdraw my son from this school. While there are dedicated teachers who genuinely care about their students and work hard, we ultimately felt that the overall school environment did not meet our expectations. The first concern was the quality and consistency of the Arabic department. We found the standard of teaching to be below expectations, with noticeable inconsistencies in instruction and limited continuity in students’ learning experience. Another drawback was the absence of a clear Bring Your Own De... After careful consideration, I decided to withdraw my son from this school. While there are dedicated teachers who genuinely care about their students and work hard, we ultimately felt that the overall school environment did not meet our expectations. The first concern was the quality and consistency of the Arabic department. We found the standard of teaching to be below expectations, with noticeable inconsistencies in instruction and limited continuity in students’ learning experience. Another drawback was the absence of a clear Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. In today’s educational environment, we expected structured guidelines for the use of personal laptops or tablets, but instead we found no clear system in place. Our primary concern was student behavior and the lack of consistent discipline. Disruptive conduct and disrespectful language seemed to be common, and we did not feel that these issues were addressed effectively. A positive learning environment depends not only on good teachers but also on clear behavioral standards that are consistently enforced. We were also disappointed with the school’s response when concerns were raised. Although the administration listened, we rarely saw meaningful action or lasting improvements, leaving us with little confidence that the underlying issues would be resolved. The German language program was another factor in our decision. In 2023, the fee for the OSD (Austrian exam) exceeded 6,000 EGP, which we found difficult to justify. When compared with German language exams offered through the German government–accredited Goethe-Institut, which were available at nearly 2,500 EGP in 2026, we felt the school should have been more transparent about exam costs and available alternatives. Every family has different priorities. However, for our family, the combination of inconsistent academic quality, lack of a clear BYOD policy, behavioral concerns, and questions around the German program led us to seek a school that better aligned with our expectations.
