Saint Paul College is a private bilingual school in San Rafael de Alajuela, Costa Rica, founded in 1982 by Dr. Celedonio RamĂrez RamĂrez and Rodell Sneeringer Nash as the first private bilingual institution in the western part of the Greater Metropolitan Area. It opened with just over 100 students and now covers the full range from its Comprehensive Care Centre, which takes babies from three months of age, through to 11th grade, with 44 years of history and 39 graduating cohorts. Since 2025 the school has been accredited by Cognia, and it also holds the Cognia Early Learning accreditation for its early-years programme. Its educational approach is summed up in two mottos — "every child is an exception" and "whoever does not live to serve is not fit to live" — which underpin a wide programme of social projects across the whole student body.

School values
The school's declared vision treats every student as a unique person entitled to grow in every dimension — physical, cognitive, emotional and spiritual — with the institution and the family together providing the conditions to develop that potential, encourage democratic habits and uphold high ethical standards within a culturally diverse society. Its values statement sets out to form men and women grounded in the ideals of Western and Christian civilisation, oriented towards God, truth and goodness, justice, solidarity, responsibility and country. The mission adds a commitment to spiritual formation through the principles and values of the Catholic religion.
