QSI International School of Chengdu is an independent, co-educational, non-profit day school in southern Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and a member of Quality Schools International (QSI), a network of international schools founded in 1971. Open since 2002, it occupies two linked buildings just off the Third Ring Road in the American Garden area and serves students of all nationalities from the three-year-old preschool class through Grade 12. Its 2025-26 school profile reports about 200 students representing 23 nationalities, small classes and a teacher-student ratio of roughly one to five, with native English-speaking homeroom teachers and a paraprofessional in every elementary class. Instruction follows the QSI mastery-learning approach: students learn at their own level, receive extra time and help where needed, or move ahead when ready, and the Success Orientations and EMPOWER programme support character and social-emotional growth. The school offers an American college-preparatory curriculum leading to QSI diplomas, with Advanced Placement courses and the AP Capstone Diploma. QSI Chengdu has been accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) since 2008, is affiliated with the US State Department Office of Overseas Schools and competes in ACAMIS events. Chinese culture and language are part of the programme.

Classes are organised by age. The preschool covers the 3- and 4-year-old classes, followed by Kindergarten (5-year-olds) and elementary classes up to the 10-year-old class (Grade 5). Middle school spans the 11- to 13-year-old classes (Grades 6-8), with options to start secondary courses early. English is the language of instruction, and all homeroom teachers are native English speakers. Students below age-level English join the Intensive English programme, available up to the 13-year-old class; secondary students need to be fluent or close to it. The school employs Chinese, French and German teachers: elementary pupils have Chinese lessons, with native and non-native tracks, and the three languages continue through middle school. In secondary, French and German are offered, and AP Chinese students have achieved strong results.

QSI Chengdu follows an American college-preparatory curriculum leading to the QSI General, Academic or Academic Diploma with Honors, the last requiring at least two AP courses. The 2025-26 profile lists Advanced Placement courses taught on site, including AP English Language and Literature, Calculus BC, Statistics, Biology, Physics, Human Geography, Psychology, World History, Chinese and 2-D Art, while QSI Virtual School adds online options. Students may also complete the College Board AP Capstone Diploma (AP Seminar and AP Research). Every senior completes a year-long research project, and SAT preparation is provided.

QSI Chengdu offers a changing programme of after-school activities. Recent clubs include photography, soccer, basketball, martial arts, chess, mahjong, Dungeons and Dragons, gaming, music and rock band, drama, creative writing, Korean, English tutoring, AP preparation, Roots and Shoots and Model United Nations. Teams take part in ACAMIS and local tournaments, for example in volleyball and badminton. Middle and secondary students join Week Without Walls, an adventure-based trip with activities such as cycling, rafting, rock climbing and service learning, and secondary students can join the National Honor Society.

A full-time nurse handles health concerns and keeps student health records, and the school monitors air quality. The school uses two buildings connected by a private walkway. They contain 51 classrooms with computers and smartboards, three computer labs and portable laptops, two libraries totalling around 20,000 volumes, three science labs, music rooms, two art studios, two multipurpose rooms, an auditorium and a makerspace. Sports facilities include a gymnasium, two full-size basketball and volleyball courts (one indoor, one outdoor) and a seven-a-side turf soccer pitch, plus a rubberised playground with grass areas. There are also cafeterias and a nurse's office.
